Biography:

Madonna was born on August 16, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, U.S. She began her singing career by performing in music groups. She then signed with Sire Records in 1982 and released her self-titled debut album in 1983.

She has since released successful albums including Ray of Light and Confessions on a Dance Floor, with her notable songs “Like a Virgin”, “Papa Don’t Preach” and “Vogue”, to name a few.

She also ventured into acting, making positive responses for her role in the 1995 film Desperately Seeking Susan. The following year, she received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in Evita.
